Oh happy day!!! Our electrician Mike was back again today (after a half-year or so hiatus). There was one little job he still had to finish up, but it is crucial for our certificate of occupancy (CofO).
Like all commercial kitchen hoods, ours is equipped with a fire suppression system, which is activated when a fire breaks out under the hood. When this systems kicks in it also activates the fire alarm system, and turns off all electric appliances under the hood (this is where Mike got involved).
He didn't have all the parts, so he'll be back on Wednesday, and on Friday we will have the building inspector / fire marshal over to look at Gunk Haus, and hopefully sing off on our CofO.
